It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. Lovely book that is wonderfully illustrated and teaches a good moral re girls standing up for themselves. While studying a degree in illustration at the Cambridge School of Art, Bethan learned how to tell stories with pictures, and even penned her first children’s book ‘Little Red’ while at university. A fantastic twist on the original, wonderfully written, with brilliant, bold illustrations by Bethan Woollvin, this was her first children’s book, created whilst she was still studying at Cambridge School of Art and has gone on to win several awards including the Macmillan Prize for Illustration. Your selection was perfect for our children and what really made the difference was your ability to engage with each child, discuss their interests and help them to choose a suitable book based on your extensive knowledge of the books you were selling. I won't spoil the ending but let's just say Little Red wraps it up nicely (and warmly) and it has my three year old son thrilled at every read, begging for more.
